Playing muse to Michael Kors, Karmen Pedaru knows a thing or two about the New York fashion scene. Part glamour girl, part tomboy (before modeling, she played goalie on Estonia’s national soccer team), Kors’ main model shares her secrets for making it through Fashion Week. On the list? Keep a lip scrub handy and don’t think twice about February 14th.

Where do you like to stay when you’re in NYC? 
I love to stay at The Mercer Hotel in SoHo.

What’s your favorite Michael Kors piece in your closet?
My pink-and-cream-colored fur. I’ve had it for a couple of years now. I just want to hug it all the time. It’s so cozy—like a blanket!

What are your handbag essentials for NYFW?
Lip scrub, hand cream by Aesop and a great moisturizer by Endocare.

What’s your favorite thing about a Michael Kors show?
Opening the show in his first look!

Where will you head for lunch after the show?
I love Blue Ribbon Sushi on Sullivan Street.

What do you never miss when in NYC?
Stopping by the Michael Kors flagship on 67th and Madison. 

Do you have any special plans for Valentine’s Day?
Ha. I actually completely forgot about Valentine’s Day.
