Nothing is more magical than seeing great theater outside—particularly when it’s a story that takes place in the woods and you are, in fact, in the woods!

I recently saw Into the Woods at the Shakespeare in the Park series in New York City. It’s a wonderful, witty play that pulls from classic fairytales like Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. I know all of the words, so I was singing right along.

The amazing surprise was Amy Adams—she’s got charm, she’s got humor and she can really sing. Amy was holding her own with tried and true Broadway singers like Donna Murphy, who has done a lot of Stephen Sondheim plays in the past and is always amazing.

So I say, Amy, it’s time to hit the boards on Broadway.
